C7 Christmas Lights

C7 Christmas lights are traditional large lights, c7 is their technical name. Ever since c7 lights were introduced in 1950's by General Electric, these twinkling lights became popular in every household. Initially only rich people could afford these lights as they were the best. They are still very popular and they are the best kind of lights to use for Christmas. It is a myth that these traditional lights are not available; in fact they are easily available now.

There are 2 types of c7 Christmas lights
1>ceramic: this is a technical term for opaque bulbs
2>transparent: this is a technical name for see through lights

It is recommend using ceramic bulb as it gives a soft glow and not the glare of the filament which can be seen in a transparent bulb, use colorful lights to decorate your Christmas tree

These are some quick few good points of these c7 Christmas lights

+ Use parallel circuits; therefore if one bulb goes off others will stay lit
+ Long lasting; it works for 7-8 years easily
+ Energy efficient, low wattage

So now how many lights you should buy to light your Christmas tree the calculation is simple, you have to multiply the height of the Christmas tree to its with and then multiply it by 2, so if the height of your Christmas tree is 5 feet and width is 3 feet then you require 5*3*2 = 30 lights; in case your Christmas tree is taller than 7 feet then the calculation goes like height*width*3.

The most popular color is yellow, but to tell you the truth it is hard to find a yellow ceramic bulb easily
